Basic sites that are very useful.
  1. OpticsRealm is an ideal website to start getting familiar with basic concepts of optics and Zemax.
  2. All David Shafer. He is one of the best lens designers and has a multitude of articles and presentations that help any designer. .
  3. Zemax's own customer portal is a fairly extensive source.
  4. The following link is a library with a lot of examples in Zemax. It contains lenses, telescopes, eyepieces, etc...
  5. The Institute of Applied Physics contains a lot of useful notes and documentation. However, its contents are slides, where there are parts that without a previous explanation or without previous knowledge, will not be of great help.
  6. Professor José Sasián of the Collegue of Optical Science has some very good pages and with many very interesting articles.
  7. Designer Kats Ikeda's blog and weekly emails are useful tools.
The books I recommend to learn optical design are;
  1. Manual Zemax of Joseph M Geary

  2. Optical sciences and applications of light of Sun Haiyin

  3. Field Guide to Geometrical Optics of John E. Greivenkamp

  4. Lens Design Fundamentals of Rudolf Kingslake

  5. Optical System Design of Robert F. Fischer, Bijana Tadic

  6. Perspective on Modern Optics and Imaging of Ronan Siew.

  7. Optical and Electro Optical Engineering Series by Robert E. Fisher y Warren J.Smith
